Since 1893, The Red & Black has covered the University of Georgia and Athens. In the process, we’ve launched thousands of media careers. Our independent newsroom offers hands-on training for hundreds of students each year, while serving the University of Georgia and Athens with excellent community news.
The Red & Black is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit student news media organization. We receive no funding from the university and support ourselves through advertising and merchandise sales, donations and special events.
